Jeffrey Buehner has spent his entire legal career as a trial attorney. He successfully tried his first jury trial two weeks after being hired at the Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office. He went on to work for the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office where he tried many high profile criminal cases to conviction.

After leaving criminal prosecution, Buehner entered the civil litigation arena, joining Blake, Kirchner, Symonds, Larson, Kennedy & Smith, P.C. where he represented individuals and businesses in complex litigation involving franchise law, corporate directors and officers liability, employment discrimination, and intellectual property disputes.

Mr. Buehner focuses his practice on criminal defense, employment litigation and business law. He has defended clients in all facets and areas of criminal defense. Buehner has had tremendous success at trial, securing outright acquittals in cases ranging from misdemeanor domestic violence to 1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.

He has also been a zealous advocate for workers who have been subjected to harassment, discrimination or retaliation at their workplace. He represents individuals in the areas of race/sex/age/pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, and the Family Medical Leave Act.

Buehner also represents businesses and individual in business entity formation, contractual disputes, business financing disputes, LLC member disputes, corporate dissolution & winding up, business merger and acquisition, construction litigation, and non-compete agreements.

EDUCATION
Buehner received his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He represented the University as a member of the constitutional law team in the 1994 New York National Moot Court Competition. After graduation, he served on the Board of Directors of the Law School's Alumni Association.

Buehner has lectured as an instructor at the Oakland Police Academy on Fourth Amendment Search and Seizure issues.
